77 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
A fabulous swim this morning with a great turnout, which was a very pleasant surprise 🙂 What with the rain last night and the dark clouds this morning we thought the numbers would be down, but no, you guys rock, nothing keeps you guys away especially when there is a winter badge at stake. As always it was gorgeous and well worth getting up for 🙂
The water was clear and warm, we saw dusky whaler sharks, a flathead at Shelly Beach, a large luminous blue grouper at the point, plus Mahdi Deaton and Michael Appleby saw a penguin playing in the seaweed at Manly !!
A large school of yellowtail scad were playing amongst lots of non stingy jelly blubbers.
Fantastic photo of Jane Stevenson arriving in the pink for yesterday’s swim 🙂
Due to popular request there will be another ORCA wetsuit fitting in Manly this Tuesday evening, if you would like to attend please let me know.
Water Temperature 18.5 degrees.
Air Temperature 12.5 degrees.
Sunrise 6.56am.
Sunset 4.53pm.
Low Tide: 9.48am.
High Tide: 4.21pm.

The Soft Sand Classic is on tomorrow so there maybe lots of activity at and around the front of Manly LSC in the morning as the 21km race starts at 7am. So I have arranged with Manly Wine, as a one off, that we can leave our clothes in ‘our breakfast area’ while we swim if we wish, so maybe allow a little extra time in the morning if you would like to make use of the generous facility. Of course, it’s all care no responsibility… so please, as usual it’s best not to leave any valuables. Thanks Manly Wine !! 🙂

Beautiful swim again today and it will be the same again tomorrow probably. Water temp is 18.5c, which is a bit hot for a wetsuit.
There is a 30% probability of BIG seas on next Wednesday. It may never happen, but just in case, its a good idea to get your swims in while its good.
It should be sunny flat and warm in the morning. The visibility is also on the improve. So ignore the awful weather tonight and be there in the morning.
