It’s not every day you see a frenzy of grey nurse rockin’ it at The Steyne but on this very special night of the B &B Xmas in July, on the first week anniversary to the day of ‘the unmentionable event’ they were spotted moving in sync and offering an olive branch to us swimmers! They won a table prize for their excellent efforts! First prize for creativity and artistic effort goes to Roz Beaver! Congratulations team!
A pricelessly subtle photo bomb from management, Ian, as the winning team are presented with their prizes!
Before we get into the plethora of photos from this highly attended event, a huge thank you to Management (& Santa) for putting on an awesome evening! There is nothing better than getting together, relaxing over a few alcoholic beverages, or in this dedicated swim group’s case, a cleansing glass of sparkling water and raising money for two awesome causes – the B&B which we all know and love and of course Royal Far West which we all know and love! The night raised over $5,000 – a fantastic achievement! Thanks also to The Steyne hotel for having us!
The Royal Far West team are very grateful to have the support of the B&B and thank you all for getting behind the cause and generously donating last night! This money will help more country kids access the health support they need particularly in these devastating times of drought. If you’d like to learn a little more about RFW, visit their website or pop in and say hi & attend one of their NAIDOC events this week! www.royalfarwest.org.au
There were a few angels there last night but these three Tara, Kim and Des of Royal Far West, were the real angels of the evening! Working tirelessly behind the scenes to help management ensure this event ran smoothly! These events don’t run by themselves and we all appreciate the huge effort you put in which certainly paid off! Thanks so much ladies!
Management John surreptitiously photo bombed the best dressed man photo!
Best dressed Lady Jo and raffle winner Janet, workshopped what they would do with their prizes! One suggestion was to give the nights accommodation in Manly to Gunner for his bday and not let on it was won in the raffle! 🙂
These guys and gals certainly deserved to win best dressed (or undressed)! They looked awesome!
In actual fact, everyone was a winner on the night! The room was a sea of colour, laughter and fun evident in these next few (hundred) photos! So grab yourself a cuppa, put your feet up, put a sign on your office door ‘do not disturb – in meeting’ and enjoy the following hive of activity! (Apologies if I’ve posted the same photo more than once! My eyes were going cross-eyed uploading all these photos!)
And that’s all for another year of Christmas in July celebrations folks!
Just chilling! This is the only photo of today’s swim!
Signing off from our friends the GNs and BnBs!
