I heard of a drone in Manly this morning. Initially I thought people meant Rainer was talking about how he was swimmer of the day one time. Not that kind of drone.
But no, there was an actual Drone on Manly apparently searching for B&B swimmers not using the i-log for attendance. Expect air strikes to follow.

As I am not a Manly native (Or indeed a native Aussie), I have no clue what the hell is going on here except that it looks like they are filming an episode of Home and Away. That must be it.

On my way back from Shelley I was blinded by the sun as I have not quite figured out this bi-lateral breathing lark. However it was pretty nice on the way out

John Bond gets talked into doing a double. It was 21.8C on the first lap, does it get colder on the 2nd?

Birthday girl pre swim and at Shelley!!! Happy Birthday!!

Strange walking into the water this morning. There was a weird sand bank close to the beach which created some waves (Or is it the other way round?) and a big drop.

Then you were back to knee deep and could almost walk to the point!

Here is Bruce Baird in action. You can clearly see with this form why he recently won the 100+ age group in the Cole Classic!

Maybe this photo gives us an indication of why the drone was watching us today. We are not a militant group, just a bunch of swimmers!!

A face only a mother could love. And Marijie.

Seriously, is there a war going on we are not aware of?

Shelley was packed as tightly as Tony Abbots budgies. 181 in total including 11 new swimmers, welcome to you all!!!

Took a quick snap of these lovely people….

…..before getting smashed at the LETS GO!

Best of luck to our commander in chief John Kelly’s football team tomorrow – Liverpool needing a favour from my team, West Ham to clinch the Premiership title for the first time in 24 years.
Here we are as one team, Come on you Irons!!!
Keep swimming and smiling,

B&B i-Log
Really if you haven’t been using the B&B i-Log then you must be new!! Almost 75% of swimmers are now using the B&B i-Log. Log your swim ANYTIME of day using this really efficient and easy way to ensure your swim is recorded in the daily attendance and on the Pacific Challenge. To get started, send an email to Ian Forster ugoboyo@gmail.com(This is not a link so please copy and paste into your email). He will check that your email address is activated on the attendance register then send you info on how to get started.
Staying safe
We have had seen the return of some serious waves and rips this past week! Were you prepared? Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

Has your Dad gone back home Robbie? I missed his photos 😉 No seriously great photos and blog! Love all the packed in pink caps at Shelly. Apparently there was a group that cycled in from Bondi to swim who probably accounted for a lot of the newbies. Hope the conditions stay good for tomorrow!

I spotted six Dusky Whalers this morning. Three were together just on the Shelley side of the yellow toilet block and then another individual and another and smother about 50 metres apart on a line between the pool and the yellow shed starting just on the south side of the halfway stairs. All were swimming near the bottom. The first three seemed a bit shorter than a metre long and the last was a little longer than a metre.
Please report on e blog when you see any duskies or if you see none. Dr Belinda Curley is considering starting a more formal survey. Until then recording any sightings on the blog is very helpful.

Thanks Robbie. You gave it your best.
Nice seeing your parents again at breakfast. Had a lovely chat with your dad. Shame he didn’t help you with the photos this time.
