09/08/15 the month of the lions

09/08/201510

August celebrates the month of the lions, and peeling back the layers at B&B Central, you will find that a good percentage of our bloggers are the Sun star sign, Leos.

Checking on the reliable ‘Interweb’ I found that Leos are typically kind and big hearted, energetic, optimistic, straightforward, loyal, confident, ambitious, generous, and encouraging. What’s not to love about them?

Our local Dutchies tried to do their best impression of a lion…….you can decide if they are real Leos or not?

Here’s a rundown on our Leo’s……..

First up we have guest blogger, with no fixed blogging day, Lesbubbles jumps in and helps out as and when. This straightforward Leo can be seen racing the A team, ask one of the team if she has ever won?

The next on the 7th, is one of the members of The Sunday blog team. Lips is definitely our confident Leo. Not one for being shy and retiring, he can regularly be seen in front of the camera and sometimes behind it.

Today he demonstrates his latest present from wife Jo. When asked if this was pink, the reply came back ‘Bordeaux’ – yeah ok, whatever.

Missing in action today is our Elaine arguably our most generous and big hearted Leo. From organising events, matchmaki
ng attempts and her tireless energy in donating to charity …..

Husband Ted informed me she is running in the City to Surf today, have fun Elaine!

Ok, so rumour has it I also have a birthday in August…..you can decide what Leo traits I display :).

Maybe it’s something to do with getting people to pull funny faces at Shelly beach, just for the fun of it? (As featured above)

Maybe I love a good game or two?

Special mention goes to other Leo B&b’ers: Kelly Jones, Annie Larkin, Jalna and Sky Grove. Happy birthday ladies.

Today’s swim,was super smiley……

Peta was seen today in a wetsuit! Bit chilly P? 16.2 in the water today!

We had to navigate The Tardis and another boat on the way over.

….,and under the water we were navigating through plenty of mullets.

News

In a good news story, my office recently moved and rather than taking our ‘white goods’, or in our case they are silver, we were asked to suggest a charity to donate to.

I suggested Royal Far West, and a few phone calls later they were proud owners of pre-loved fridges, dish washers and microwaves.

A couple of pics as they were taken away. I’m really glad they went to a great cause.

Other news: Chloe McCardel is currently swimming her triple English Channel crossing – find her on Facebook to track her crossing – amazing and inspiring.

Our Leo and ex blogger Jones, organised a fantastic weekend away for some of us in the Blue Mountains recently and even served up real snow for our arrival. Lots of fun and food had by all.

A morning walk, and the mini group.

Our waiter sharing a little more with us than perhaps we needed.

Angels even enjoyed fancy dress.

The girls team win trivia!

And plenty of fog enshrined the mountains on the Sunday.

Stats:

Is this an oblique reference to the three lions of England’s ashes winning cricketers last night?
