83 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Lucky enough to be swimming together on this exceptional morning which started something like this…

With a beautiful sunrise, clear blue skies, lots of happy swimmers and… magnificent water clarity !!

The sun was bouncing across the surface the water

Whilst the marine life was just exploding underwater… what with this lovely big Wobbegong

A few Dusky Whalers.
Plus notice this stick without the ball on top… the ball is the device used by the researchers to detect the movement of the tagged marine life in the bay and at 10.45am as I am writing this blog, the researchers aboard the Sea Wasp are currently putting the balls back in place !

A school of juvenile Goat-fish (I think)

A ball of juvenile Catfish (don’t touch them as they have toxic spines)
The most gracious and colourful of them all the beautiful Giant Cuttlefish

There’s also a short video of this morning’s Cuttlefish for you to watch here They really are magic, so please have a quick look, especially if you’ve never seen one before.
A Stingaree with a six-pack just above his eyes… 😉

And a school of Sand Whiting to mention just a few of this morning’s amazing delights.

Oh and the most reliable of them all, some B&B swimmers amongst the mix too 🙂 Including Neil MacLean who’s happy to be back after his 7 week working holiday around Europe.

Murray from Sprout Daily joined us for a swim with his camera this morning and got some fantastic photos ! They are well worth a look and you can see them here Thanks Murray 🙂

20 out of a possible 30 swimmers qualified for their winter badge on the first possible day, that’s today, the first day of the 7th week of winter. To see who they are please click here

IT WAS SOOOOO beautiful today that I didn’t notice the hyperthermia setting in – I was so busy looking at all the fish around the rocks… But the BEST thing I saw was: there was heaps of baby porcupine fish at the point and they sat in my hand!! (then realised what they were doing and took off at great speed!)
very cute!!! GREAT photos Jules!!!!!
