09/06/2012 – Winter Magnet

09/06/20122

Over 119 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

All enjoyed yet another magic winter swim this morning !!

This number of people swimming in winter is just brilliant !!!  It is worth it too 🙂  If you haven’t tried it come on down and give it a go as you too could be having this much fun at 7 o’clock on a winter’s morning…

Really and truly there is something addictive about winter swimming… obviously… with 274 individuals having swum at least once in the first 9 days of winter – WOW !

Don’t be left out, make sure your name appears on this list so that you too qualify for your 2012 winter badge.  You only have to swim a minimum of 20 times over a minimum of 7 weeks of winter to qualify and there are still 83 days and 12 weeks for you to choose from 🙂

Welcome back to Claire who’s looking fantastic at the end of her first long swim since beautiful baby Lilou came along 🙂

2 swimmers also enjoyed the pre-dawn lap into Shelly and 6 continued on up to Freshie after the regular Shelly swim, perfect conditions for it too, as long as you don’t feel the cold 😉

Soft Sand Classic is on tomorrow morning, this will not affect our swim, however the organisers will be using half of the front area of the club to store clothes for the participants so if we could please keep our gear to the left side of the club (as you look at it) that would be most appreciated, thank you.

Happy birthday to our attendance, pacific challenge and winter challenge programing guru Magnus Butlin today 🙂

0 comments? Where’s everyone? Yeah it’s been such a gorgeous day, everyone probably stayed away from their computer!
There were a few whales breaching an hour ago at the horizon, quite cool as always.
Conditions were great this morning, looked amazing tonight and will be great again tomorrow morning, so see you all at 7 🙂
