Also hello to Jenny from Dubbo on her first swim with us! She didn’t quite make 4000th BUT even better, this swim is on her Bucket List! She’s very happy to have finally done it AND she swam there and back!! Well Done Jenny!

To give you an idea how big 4000 is, here are some other stats to put it in perspective;
Number of strokes Michael takes on an average day. 4000

Hi guys, congratulations for the 4000 BandB, but don’t forget that this was only possible because I was the 3999… 😉 just kidding…
I would like to let you know that today was my first swim and I really had a great time!!! The swim was good (bit cold), but the best part of the day was the amazing people I met! Great spirit, great vibe – loved it!

And thank Jules (not the organiser) for giving me the inspiration and motivation to start!

I got approached this morning by (I presume) Maurizio, who had apparently taken some great shots of a pregnant swimmer whilst filming yesterday morning. As I swim at Coogee on Tuesdays, it clearly wasn’t me, so must have been you. Look out for him when you’re next down there..

What great news – 4000 up! I am just grateful to be one small part of that statistic! I guess you will have topped 8,000 before I get to Manly again myself.

The health benefits are immense. I swam 2km in the ocean the day each of my children were born, and I was two weeks overdue. Certainly kept my ankles from swelling up among other things, so keep on swimming!
