Being of English descent, I do like my cuppa’s! Today, after our swim we got to indulge in a lovely cup of the black stuff all in aid of “charrrrideeeee”
“Come on, dive in!”
Here’s Elaine and Leslie, who both got a bit confused with the whole tea and swim idea so they are enjoying Swimming in a Tea ?
The Biggest Morning Tea is a great annual event and lovely to warm yourself after a swim.
My favourite bit? CAKE! What about this one?
I also found these swimmer tea-bags!
Love taking shots of us all filing in to the water, can you see yourself smiling up at the Blog Camera.
Hmm…..slightly disturbing …..
Today’s competition. Which swimmer is this ?
Answers at the bottom please.
Today is also World Ocean Day and from 10am you can help clean up our little taste of paradise (well at Manly Cove) Go for it!
Being the blogger, swimmers always tell you what’s happening on that day and ask you to put in the blog.
So I hope, I get this right….
Today, I was told:
It is Jenny’s 9000th birthday,
It’s Chris’ 30th swim,
And there are 500 yellow tails in the bay.
An update on the something like EOFY Double Tiara race
The Maltese is coming in at 35:23
Which gives him 17.8 points,
The Reverend coming in second place,
Scruffy Steve near the rear at 35:34,
And then up two points is Scottish Angus.
The British Shilling was last seen at the coffee shop.
I think I’ve got this right, if anyone wants to add anything or explain this in a different way ….On-Shore Brad gave me this commentary.
*latest in* Timecheck……Silver medallist Simon Cowell (complete with 6ft fins) came second in the race after the Maltese time of 7min 15sec.

Winter Badge season kicked off 1 June.
You know you want one! There are 14 weeks in the winter season. To qualify for the prized Cold & Bold Badge you simply need to swim 20 times within the season ensuring you have swum in a minimum of 7 different weeks. So, attempting to do it all in the first few weeks does not count!!
B&B i-Log
Really if you haven’t been using the B&B i-Log then you must be new!! Almost 75% of swimmers are now using the B&B i-Log. Log your swim ANYTIME of day using this really efficient and easy way to ensure your swim is recorded in the daily attendance and on the Pacific Challenge. To get started, send an email to Ian Forster ugoboyo@gmail.com (This is not a link so please copy and paste into your email). He will check that your email address is activated on the attendance register then send you info on how to get started.
Staying safe
We have had seen the return of some serious waves and rips this past week! Were you prepared? Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

Chris, congrats to your 500k. And you deserve another badge, in my view, for doing triples in winter without wetsuit. That’s true commitment.

Fantastic blog as usual Snorkles. I am totally in love with that unnamed swimmer! Thanks for everyone who baked/ helped/donated for our Cancer Council Morning Tea. Jenny Knapman’s lemon slice was the biggest hit. Chris Tayls is a bit of a legend I agree Bernhard. Well done on 500 kms.
I LOVE your mixed up statistics Snorks!

….and hard to beat Jalna’s choc slice. She’s giving me the recipe. I wonder if you would do the same for the lemon cake/slice Jenny? I’ll wish you a happy birthday if you do!
Super blog, Snorkles.

I think the mystery swimmer is the Cuttlefish, painted by Magic Hands.

Thank you to everyone who ate and baked. We raised $370 for the Cancer Council. If you couldn’t make it to the morning tea this morning, you can make a (tax deductible) donation on the fundraising page.

I don’t really want the recipe, ’cause that would mean I would have to cook it. Can you please bring along another one tomorrow?

Love your cuppa blog, Snorkles…..and not a storm in sight either:-)
Yes, Stephanie….watch out! Those Strange Men are really scary:-)
Yeh, Lucy seems to have taken no time to join the Old Wives’ Club – having fun with whomever comes along – a flathead, a groper, a stingray or a shark…..:-)
This time next Sat, will be on our way back!!
