If you swam today, how amazing was that half hour or so? What did you see? There was so many sightings this morning; do let us know in the comments.
We started with a very grey sunrise – but thankfully the rain held off.
The surfers were close to our patch ‘cause there were waves.
John carefully explained that as they are following the etiquette of the sea, they would move out of the way once we hit the water. Perhaps the surfers are contributors to the Noack & Dawkins guide to etiquette? We will have our special presentation at tonight’s dinner. I do hope that you have booked? Ian tells me there are a few spots available. See below for details.
As we are within 10 metres of a body of water greater than two Olympic swimming pools, thongs were deemed to be the most appropriate footwear.
Lovely Jill was busy welcoming today’s swimmers.
Reports back from the early lappers was for a calm – once you had dodged the surfers – clear swim across the bay. Visibility was claimed to be excellent. However they really forgot the mention the bitey stinging lice like things.
Through the waves.
Below the water at the point . . .
The anticipation of the return journey at Shelly. Can you see the tension on their faces as they wait for the Let’s go!!
I’ve seen this groper a few times. It is easy to recognise because of the fish hook in its back.
Love the yellow tail!! They were in a feeding frenzy, munching on those bitey things. I hope they have ravenous appetites.
There were reports of lots of sightings of the Duskys!! It appears that there were up to six spotted around the bay. However we did capture a new jellyfish!!
First Lesley takes a closer examination.
Then Stephen!!
And here is a very newbie!! Just six days old… Grand-dad Alan was proudly showing her off after the swim. Congrats Mum, Sarah Thompson.
Have a great Tuesday and do come along to the dinner tonight!!

Great blog Mary.
Rainer & Nick Emeritus,
What is the etiquette re handling or pulling sharks. Lesbubbles advises that a well known blogger of questionable etiquette knowledge, was seen pulling a shark off from under some rocks – or was that getting his rocks off pulling out the shark?

“Like” (from Willoughby Park)
I saw Sterling Sophie JP and Tim as I passed them on a wave at the end of the Drinks express.
Were you caught in a rip or just out of puff?

Eitquette Qu for Prof Nick: If one has to abandon one’s fins on the outward leg to Curly and has goggle-itis on return, is it OK to make a quick exit at Freshie or Queensie, jump on the bus down to the surf club and claim a 10K tick?
Speeding Eitquette Qu for Dr Lips: If one’s partner is not up to speed, is it OK to speed-date on the side and then claim one has been abandoned?

I absolutely love photos 7 and 9. Isn’t the sky, reflections and light amazing at the moment? So happy visibility is great and there are loads of fishies. I saw yellowtail going crazy yesterday swimming in different directions. Now I get it they were in a feeding frenzy on sea lice! See you tonight folks x

Lost and Found register sounds good – my goggles and brand new silicon cap are still off enjoying themselves with somebody else – maybe I was not a good mum …..
