07/11/16 – Grains of Truth

Constantly shifting, shaped by its surrounding environment, the beach is a solid snapshot of its fluid influences. Flattened by storms, sculpted in winds of change, then softy rebuilt by summer’s gentle swell.

With each grain a story of how it has come to be.  To the well studied eye, it’s testament to seasons past, hidden undercurrents, the ebb and flow of the tides. Every morning an evolution of physical form bears honest witness to what has been.

You consist of 37 trillion cells – give or take. Like grains of sand on the beach, collectively they tell your story. Of tempests endured and days buoyed by the caress of kinder perceptions.  A hard copy printout of the environment in which you immersed yourself, but ceaselessly changing, you’re an evolving truth to be rediscovered each morning anew.

Guest speaker: No Guest speaker this month but we will be entertained by none other than ‘The Sandy Bottom Band’. This is a ukulele band that features several of our swimmers so you know it’s going to be fun!
The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for BYO wine only) and a little thank you for the staff.
