Ok, so the headline might be a bit misleading to most, because if you didnt get to Bluewater for brekkie this morning after the swim you missed out on a very interesting conversation!
Anyway…the renovations for the surf club are clearly going well. Earlier this week I was invited inside to check out the new “full body” showers installed specifically for the Bold and Beautiful Manly swimmers. It really gets all the sand out of those hard to reach places!
Today’s swim was as flat as a Manly Sea Eagle’s morale this morning. Commiserations to the Manly supporters, especially to the ones who went to the effort to arrange a special visa to cross the Spit bridge last night to get to the game.
John Bond advised we were at a flat and cool 18.8C.

Snorks was very excited this morning as Mammy Snorkles is on her way from the UK!

Now initially I thought this was a whale breaching just off the point, but John Kelly advised me that it was actually Bill just starting a little ahead of the group.

With 230 swimmers, including 22 new people (WELCOME!!!) there were blog tarts everywhere
Thursday blogger Elaine was doing her patent “Duck-Crouch” photographic style.
Kind of also looks like she is sitting on an invisible chair.
But boy does it work!
Its been a while since I have seen so many on a Monday, you can see them going in all the way to the point. My blog is obviously a very successful marketing tool.
Or something about a Bank Holiday.
Maybe these guys are Roosters fans?
It was around this stage I realised that I had forgotten to put the SD card into my camera.
So I only had a couple of shots left
Luckily Lainey Loo, Thursday blogger extraordinaire was willing to give me some of her photos. Especially as we came across a rather large ray. Drinky measured it at around 8ft!

Derek & I missed the ray, but we did see a lovely, large wobbegong near the surface as we swam out to the point.
Sat with Robbie at Bluewater and still missed the joke – too young and naive;-/

Another great Monday blog to follow a fabulous swim. I wonder who the new people are and how they found out about the swim etc. Having so many swimmers made the swim more fun!

I just find it hard to believe that Jazzy and Laura would spend so much time planning how to tease Storchy and myself.
We give a little bit of love and tenderness to your beloved Teddies and this is what we get. Now we must suffer kisses at the whim of anyone with a ticket. It’s a tough life!

Another magical swim, so flat and peaceful and then that huge ray! Someone shouted out, ‘Be Jaysus it’s the size of a car!’And we raced over. Great blog Robbie. Love the Bill/Whale photo! The sky was incredible!
