101 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

Oh what a beautiful morning… Oh what a beautiful swim !!

All the clouds have gone… it was sooo clear across the whole bay this morning – yeh 🙂

This stingaree was trying to camouflage himself by wriggling between all the dark grains of sand.

Now can someone please tell me why it is that every time I try to take a picture of a perfectly stationary fish, it moves 🙁

It was a pretty special swim this morning, we had one swimmer trying to rub out the sun… go figure 😉

Anne actually made it down for a swim… !!! 😉

Charlie – yeh remember him, well he is coming swimming tomorrow !!  You might have to see it to believe it, but apparently it’s true !

And… Neil is back in town swimming with us for the weekend !! 🙂

Plus… one of the things I love most about B&B is good friends get to spend quality time together 😉

10 swimmers made the most of the stunning water this morning enjoying a double, including Senta for her first ever !  Then Michael and Sam stayed in for a triple with Collie, who then continued on solo, for a 3 hour swim in total, all without a wetsuit !!  Go you good things, you’re certainly all tougher than me.

451 people have swum at least once since the start of winter (1st June) !!  As such all of them are currently on target for their 2012 winter badge !!  To qualify you only need to swim 20 times over a minimum of 7 different weeks and there’s still 55 days and 9 weeks (if you include tomorrow) of winter left to go. SO… even if you haven’t swum yet it’s still not too late to start !!  Complete all of your qualifying swims without a wetsuit and get your ‘winter without wetsuit’ badge too (badges cost $10 each).  Check out the list of who’s who in the winter zoo here

Water Temperature 17.0
Air Temperature 8.0
Sunrise 7.00am
Sunset 5.00pm
High Tide: 11.01am
Low Tide: 4.45pm

What a beautiful swim again. Lovely and clear, not too cold and low swell.
Tomorrow will be even better evidently. The swell will halve, there will be full sunshine and the offshore temperature has gone up to 18c. [no promises though!]

So nice to swim with Neil this morning. You’ll hit the 500km Pacific Challenge mark after tomorrows swim. How exciting.
Sorry guys, I think that’s my arm rubbing out the sun, or I could’ve been shielding the photographer from the blinding glare.

What’s this about you not being tough Jules? I heard you did a Half Marathon today and a few weeks ago could only run 4km and 3 trees. You are an Iron Woman for sure!
Looking forward to seeing you all again and back in the water tomorrow with Aly back from Germany, without our wetsuits. Yikes!!!
