07/05/2017 – Super Sunday

07/05/201716

What a morning!!!

Manly really knows how to turn it on this time of year: 472 good looking swimmers, near 21 degrees water temp, light offshore wind, superb underwater visibility and beautiful sunshine. Throw in a couple of birthdays, a giant cuttlefish, and a dozen or so dusky whaler sharks – and what you have is indeed a Super Sunday.

The blog tarts were out in force. Doing whatever it takes..

..licking puppies..

..pulling faces ..

..striking poses..

Martin and Dorset without Jim:

Speaking of Jimbo.. Congratulations on SotD! I heard he won the vote by a landslide. Well deserved.

And here’s one for the ladies, back by popular demand, the famous ‘Legs Photo’ from his recent 1000 km celebration:

21 newbies today, all expertly looked after by Ian.. Welcome Grace:

7 o’clock..

Charl & Kerrie:

That awkward moment when you realize you parked your cat in someones backyard pool..

Shelly moments:

Expert smiles – Jo, Rachel and friends..

Expert posing by Greg:

You really have to admire JK’s patience on days like these:

Birthday Girls.. Inge & Caroline:

“Let’s Go!!!”

Bumped into Victoria on the way back. She looked like she needed help..

Turns out she had lost her swim buddies and was worried about them getting the coffee order wrong..

I really hope it all worked out for her in the end. Coffee wise.

Back at the club, swimming legends Guy, Bill, and Errol were happy to pose for a blog photo. Expertly bombed by LSA:

I’ll leave you with a this lovely shot of Birthday Girl Inge and extended family:

Have a great Sunday!

Beautiful day out there. Soak up the sunshine. Chase a cuttlefish. Shout someone a coffee!

Super Fun Blog for Super Sunday!
All the drama, Super May Blog-Tarts, clashes with boats and management, dog-licking fetishes, yet more of Jim who tries his best to stay under-cover (is that his blog-tarting trick?)….you’ve nailed it all!
In fact I nominate Lips for the Sunday vacancy! xxx

In my defence, that puppy licked me first! Anyway, I’m trying to wean myself off the toads, what a trip they turned out to be.
Excellent blog Rainer, colour and movement, humour and pathos – who would want to step into your shoes?

Thanks Sarah. Nice try. I’m stretched doing one Sunday blog per month.. and coping with everyday life. We need an extra blogger to fill Thunderbird’s small shoes while he’s taking his sabbatical in Europe.
Tiny shoes for tiny bird feet.. anyone?
