Over 110 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Melbourne Cup Fashions hit the water with B&B this morning 🙂 I love the creativity and enthusiasm you guys bring, brilliant Candy and Stephen !

Mary S had the Cup outfit all ready to enter ‘fashion in the
waves’ too but unfortunately missed out due to a battle with a bug 🙁
Get well soon Mary ! Mary’s disappointed to have missed the swim but will keep the
fascinator cap for next year when she’ll be able to see if the
feathers stay on for the whole swim.

Michael had his trusty Bluebottle indicator out. Nope, none in the water, well not until the double lap anyway 😉

With reports from the early strokers that it was a little rougher than it looked, some swimmers took the sensible option of half way beach. We are so lucky to have that option, it means we can all swim everyday 🙂

The waves are fine and fun as long as you’re experienced and relaxed in the conditions

There definitely were some walls of water moving around out there though

Our newest Dad, Simon is back in the swim of things 🙂

It was lovely above and below once you were out at the point though, or for some, should I say past the point… 😉

Once we got to Shelly Matt had a captive audience for his stories of what he’d seen… it was how big ?

and moved like… ? How ?

It’s definitely warmer, not many wetsuits now and lots of relaxed, happy swimmers 🙂

17 Bolderdashians ventured out at 5.50 this morning. Very impressive as
this wind has been blowing for 2 days straight now. There’s no
stopping you guys, you’ve definitely got the bug.
12 swimmers also enjoyed an early lap into Shelly at 6.30 and 5 doubled ! Some one hold Francois back… I think his brain is water logged, he did a Bolderdash followed by a double lap of Shelly and was desperately trying to encourage the other doublers to do a triple. Go you good thing. It looks like Sat 1st December is definitely going to have to be a 10km swim just for you doesn’t it 😉
It’s definitely last year’s Duskies that are back. I saw one today, it said “hi Jules”. I was so excited and in awe of seeing my old friend I forgot to take a photo.
Jeff saw a lovely big Wobbegong and did get a photo though, including plenty of other great shots of other marine life too

Including this fabulous shot of the movement of water out there this morning 🙂

Oh… John got stung by a jimble – on his face… honestly, it’s true, no, he really did… look ! Right there 😉

We were lucky enough to be greeted out of the water by Brigitte, oh and Mummy of course…
But… Who’s ya Daddy ?? 😉

Happy birthday to Michael Appleby and Michael Edenborough today 🙂
Michael E was going to do his first Bolderdash for his birthday… but… ?
At least he swam Michael A !

November’s monthly happy hour drinks and nibbles at Murray’s is on next Wednesday evening, that’s Wednesday 14th Nov from 6.30pm, so please rsvp here so we have an idea of how many people are coming to help plan for the catering and come and join in the fun !
Great to have Jenny K back this morning after her trip to Kangaroo Island, SA where she was busy not only swimming…

but… ??? No Jen, don’t do it, don’t dive from there !

plus door knocking for new recruits too 😉
Up in Noosa, team “All About the Badge” Manager and Coach, Sharon was on the lookout. For what I’m not sure 😉

As the team members successfully finished the tri. Corinne on the bike, Nick (AFL Boundary Umpire) was the runner and Stephen lapped up the swim. Well done guys !!

Leaving plenty of time for the girls to blog tart in pink and simply just be beach babes

Hope you all back a winner today. Either way, see ya’s all tomorrow, same place, same time for another great start to the day 🙂

Well done Elaine, Retha, Michelle and the other 14 boulderdashers this morning!! (Francois, you’re nuts!)
Lesley and I chickened out as we didnt like the messy NE chop out there at the moment. Winds forecast to change later this week, so considering a (slow) boldercrawl for Thursday. Any takers?
And congrats to the Noosa champions! Great tarting!!

Haha! Love the B&B beach shots – could have done with getting ore of a tan though!
I’d like to thank Stephen for stepping in on the swim leg and doing us proud! A great weekend for all!

I have some sample Mermaid/men suits from Eney Jones in the USA for people to try. They provide jellyfish and UV protection for swimming and are speed enhancing – some s=State records done in US wearing them! All in smurf blue! I have one XL long sleeve – fits me and two L sleeveless for us to share around. See them here, http://eneyjones.com/mountain-mermaid-suits/ . I also have an Eney Buoy to try – an ocean swimming pull buoy that doubles as drink containers for gatorade, etc. Who’d like to try?

Excellent fast paced weekend – good bonding – not sure snake bites, sambuca, etc were performance enhancing 😉

We’ll see what you look like in it tomorrow Rainer – a Smurf, a Blue botle or that blue movie character?!

A challenging Boldercrawl today but great to get your 3 kms in by 7am. You should have done it Rainer and Lesley. I think there will be a few up for a Boldercrawl Thursday. It’s not so good for blog tarting though but I’m sure Rainer will find a way! I’m in the first column, hip hip hooray, followed closely by Speedy Sparkles and Paige the Brave!

Spotting my flathead is a very rare skill Shauny. So many try and fail.

Thanks Jules, but I just felt in such good spirit this morning, and that’s thanks to B&B!
