Wakey wakey! Time to swim!
A number of us must have struggled with the time difference this morning as the numbers were slightly lower than we have been enjoying lately. Still, 140 of us enjoyed the (what felt like) earlier swim and were joined by 9 newbies. Welcome!
I caught a pic of this guy, just as he was getting in. “Ian, where is his pink cap?” Rumour has it that he followed our German friend and alighted ‘Half Way’ with some sort of excuse about “official business in Perth, must go and catch my plane”. Lips, is this your excuse also?
I spotted the Storchy’s Boot Camp also …again struggling with numbers this morning.
As promised by Renae on yesterday’s blog. Here’s a couple of photos from the Naval fleet review. I think you’ll agree they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.
Back to today’s swim.
As the sign in sheets stated ‘nice’ and warm at 18.9c today.
These two highly trained technical IT specialists are ‘checking in’ on the new sign in App.
Getting ready.
Great slogans
Down the ramp
First touch of the ocean
First waves
My escorts waiting for me at Half Way (or are they bodyguards for that guy with the red hair, in disguise)
Flattie on his way out of Shelly.
The sun (lower than normal) at Shelly.
Lets go!
“Where do we go?” “See that big white building…head there and then chuck a left at the point. Simple”
Suri swimming across the divide.
PJ’s at the point….I counted four!
As I was returning in from the swim, I spotted this familiar face heading out!!
I heard so etching along the lines of “prince” “good time” “late” and “Boatshed”
Enjoy your late(r) swim Lesley!
Fancy a stretch like Lesbubbles?
Then head to Power Living Yoga in Manly. If you show off your B&B card, you will get a discount! Head to: www.powerliving.com.au. for class times, etc.

Note, Lips – That’s Lainey and I representing the 6.59’ers! A great swim for those who made it. Thx for the company, LL!
A little bit confusing with the 6.00 Lemurs coming at 7.00 and some well-known bloggers entering the water at 8.00 or a little before:-)
Snorkles, it was you who bombed my pic!!!
that sun is hurting my eyes

This Lemur was very confused and bewildered today. I wondered why so many people had decided to come on the Lemur Run!
Lovely blog today, love the pics of the escorts doing doubles and of course Little Sarah and her beaming little face.
oh, and rumour has it that a certain pair of paddlers have been recruiting a boyfriend?

Great blog Snorks.
Impressed Harry made it down. Him and I were at a fancy dress party till early morning, totally off our faces. That boy’s got stamina!
Ignoring your halfway comment. Everyone knows I do the full shelly return on weekends.

Excellent blogging Snorkles and love the sign off selfie!
How did you coax Harry out of the Boatshed so early?
We had 4 for the 6.30, which is all stations to Shelly on the weekend. Our numbers jumped to 5 when the Eagle/Bull Ray joined us for about 5 minutes near Attracta Rock.
The E/B Ray has promised to wait there tomorrow and herd all Germans past halfway on the return leg

wow no mention of the ENORMOUS Ray we (my 7.40am swim crew) saw??
It was NOT the bull ray that has been seen swimming around.. this ray we saw was physically the same as the little rays we usually see.. but GIGANTIC version!! Myself, Richard G and Jonny all saw it…holy h*ll!! WOW!! just sitting on the bottom about 300 metres off Shelly. It’s tail was about as long 2 metres long! 🙂
Well done Snorks getting the blog out after your massive night at the Boat Shed with Harry! ;-p

Harry was way to coax, it was Lips who insisted on doing ‘the worm’ on the dance floor. So we left him to it!
