Why is it we’d rather our better selves be shackled away by reassuring lies than face the truth that, just beyond the veneer of your imagined limitations, there’s someone you’d wait in a queue to see, pay for a ticket to listen to and journey a lifetime just to be with. Is it so terrifying to let go of the deception? Or too painful admit you’re the one creating the illusion?
