41 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Noticeably fewer swimmers than usual this morning… something to do with the State of Origin blues maybe ???
There was the occasional wave between big lulls this morning. Some swimmers barged straight in

Others stood to the side or jumped high above

Whatever your initial approach it’s a definitely a leveler, as we’re all totally submerged by the time we reach the point.

Alex and Cae were pretty excited to swim to Shelly this morning, or maybe it was just good old fashion sharing of body heat which they’ve learnt from their long swims…

Brad however, was simply feeling pretty smug that he’s managed to sneak ahead of Lucy on the Pacific Challenge again

There were plenty of clouds in the sky, many of which seemed to have dropped into the ocean too, but it was worth looking back out to sea as we swam into shore to see the sun trying to compete against the rain on the horizon.

Most people in B&B however, are too busy looking forward… ready to start the next fashion… Pippa’s got it happening for sure… wetsuit, board-shorts and cycling helmet ! Yep there’s no doubt about it, it all starts here…

3 swimmers braved the chilly pre-dawn lap and 5 (3 without wetsuits !) did a double. Wetsuit or not, John and Michael were both happy to be snuggled up tight under the heater at brekkie.

Jenny K likes Michael’s beanie and is pretty keen that we get some for B&B… what do you reckon ???

Whatever it is Stephen ‘nose’ you know…. ‘cos he got a jimble sting right there…

Thanks for a great hump day blog yesterday Lesley 🙂

Michelle, I think that’s a great idea to do a double without wetsuit. We should be able to roll you end over end up the ramp when you get out. Then a bucket of hot water over you so you can tell us where you live. We’ll leave you in a hot bath and come back in the afternoon to see if you have thawed out.

Michelle try for no wet suit next year…it’s probably “too late” for you to get used to swimming without it now! Take it off around October and just don’t ever put it back on! 🙂

Well done with your double this morning! Not sure how you’d go doing a double without a wetsuit….weren’t you telling me at Shelly that you were freezing after the first lap in your wetsuit? Perhaps it was another Michelle….:-)
