Daylight, Camera, Action!

Welcome to the end of daylight saving time. Say hello to visibly brighter mornings and goodbye to romantic 7am sunrises as we swim past the point. At least for a while.

Important Announcement:

An increasing number of bloggers are letting their ‘lives’ get in the way of their journalistic duties. With the swim blog talent pool shirnking by the day, veteran blogger and beach-bully Lesley has instructed all bloggers to adhere to a strict new ‘express blog’ code:

  • No more than 5 photos per blog
  • Photos to be of low res and/or blurry quality
  • No more than 200 words per blog
  • Blog to be written within 10 minutes of completing the swim

Here’s a photo of Lesley in happier days.. (the one in the middle)

As all bloggers (and most simmers), I am scared of Lesley. So I decided to meet her half way. Figuratively speaking, not literally, as she wasn’t swimming today.

Our younger readers will be familiar with an internet thingy called ‘Twitter’. I realized that most of our blogs could be summarized within a small number of #hashtags:

#howluckyarewe?
#walkingdowntheramp
#waitingatthepoint
#happybirthdayatshelly
#letsgo
#checkoutthefish
#apresswimcoffee

So without further ado, here’s my Gen-Y friendly, Lesley-appeasing, #express#blog for today..

Actually, Bernhard, your daughter looks a little happier than she did when she left the surf club. Congratulations to her for making it to Shelly!

How can Jane write such serious comments after such a hilarious blog!!! #you’venaileditlips That was bloody brilliant. Ted is giggling away next to me!
You are so right with the hash tags. I repeat the same phrases over and over again in my blogs. You forgot #ourfavouritecorneroftheworld #gettingourvitaminsea #youneverregretaswim
Love #familyshotruined and #grandparentsdaymanlywine the best!

Thank you Rainer for a informative and accurate blog.
I so enjoy your blog days as I can stand in a photo with the knowledge that a creepy man with lady legs is not lurking behind me with maniac eyes and wide open mouth. 🙂
Very much looking forward to your lecture on swimming etiquette with professor Nick.
Thank you to all the bloggers for taking the time.

Yes, that’s because she realised how nice the swim to Shelly actually is. However I could not convince her to join for a double, only my son Marco, he in front of the double pack, me at the very end. It’s actually more relaxing to swim a double with you :))

Nice funny blog but way too long,
Lost focus and consciousness half way through.
When I woke up I had sand in my mouth.
