04/12/2013 – Life begins with Bold and Beautiful!

04/12/201321

Before I started swimming with Bold and Beautiful, my Christmas parties were a little bit..

….quiet…

I joined in all sorts of Christmas parties!

However once I joined BnB my social life just took off! And last night’s Bold and Beautiful Christmas party was no exception!

Regular swimmer James Partigan and his band The Troubadours played for us!! How great were they!??

AND we had a SPECIAL GUEST!!!! Recognise her?!?!

Thanks to The Steyne who generously donated the venue and food for us! I for one loved the food and ate so much!! I think more than Jane!! 😉

Thanks to everyone who came along and as Ian said last night, $500 will go to Royal Far West and the rest will go towards BnB running costs… Hope you all had a great time!

And thanks to Maureen, Nicolee, Annette, Joan and Beryl for making those gorgeous tree decorations just for us! This is my one with the little fish!

Now to today’s swim…. yes I had to turn up to blog!!

But troupers that they are John and Ian were there! And Jules joined us! For those who don’t know, Jules is the person who started Bold and Beautiful and we are keeping it ‘on hold’ for her whilst she is studying in Perth…
Everyone is very pleased to see her…

Except Fifi who was in shock!

So it was a bit rough this morning!! Some pretty big waves came through!! And I didn’t realise till it was too late!

Here’s Rusty screaming for help….

Yep look at it go! Times’s like this I know I just have to relax and pace myself…once you are there that is all you can do …

Rough all the way over – I heard one person say that was their worst swim ever…rough, churning, messy, dirty….

Safely at Shelly…more people pleased to see Jules…

I went back to half way and as you can see it was pretty easy getting out there too…

Rainer’s first time to half way on a rough day since his ‘accident’ – will he make it safely??

Hell yeah!

Bye for now I am going back to bed! Lesbubbles (and LSA)

stats: I haven’t a clue and i don’t care coz I need to go and vomit…. ;-p

just in….Pics from Mary from last night:

and from Jenny..

Well done Legsley producing such a great blog after a big night out! The party looks amazing, sorry we missed it but having a lovely time in Bali. (Beautiful snorkelling around Amed in East Bali.) Welcome back Jules, hope you can stay until we get back next Monday.
Go the B&B, what a fantastic group. There are Christmas drinks at Dave’s house for everyone I hear on Sunday 15th Dec! (Can you save Ted and i a Xmas deco?)

    Funny blog again .
T’was indeed a bit rough and ready out there this morning.
Loads of great action shots. I dispute that I am screaming in that photo – more like woooooo-ping!
The less said about the bleaching the better.

Great blog bubbles: love the pic of you and that bloke from the Village People. A very sleazy-looking christmashup.

Love your blog Lesbutt – except the pregnant photo at Shelly, damn you.
I think you and Rainer both need to work on your ice-breakers. Between that and the nipply policeman, I felt like I was at a seedy club in the Cross, not a fine establishment in Manly!! Tsk, tsk.

Thanks Lesley. I love the way you set up your theme with the early staged photos and then broke into the party. Funny stuff! And yes, I did go for a massage today.

You are sooo good at this blogging stuff Legsley. You should do more days!!!!
    I hear Tuesdays are free.
A few interesting facts and quotes –
The first few photos were actual party shots at Legsley’s home before starting with BandB
Lips exited at 1/2 Way??? Shock horror!!
Greg Poole has overtaken Jules in the PC challenge. A wise man with lots of ticks!
JK quote, “I don’t have the strength Shaun, I don’t have the strength”
JK quote, “This food is for the swimmers”,

It’s so wonderful to be back, enjoying the special atmosphere and the great company. Would be nice if the water was a little gentler and clearer… just saying 😉

Lucy, what a change of heart! You loved the bleaching conversation last night. And you couldnt keep your eyes off John’s nipples.
Not our fault that you feel guilty the next morning.
    Oh yes, and congratulations!
