Over 144 Bold & Beautiful swimmers

enjoy another calm, peaceful morning together

You learn something new everyday… today’s lesson is how to put your cap on 101 by Paul 😉

The summer fashions are now starting to hit the water.  See them first here at 7am every day 🙂

It’s Snorkel Sunday, at least for Jalna and Michelle 🙂

As everyone makes their way to the point

Ieva and Kayleigh take it all in.  Fresh ‘off the boat’ yesterday, yep you are actually out in the ocean with real fish 🙂  Good on you girls, well done !

The Shelly line up

before the stampede make their way back 🙂

Meanwhile Kayleigh and I continue on to make it ‘all the way’ !!

Lots of beautiful marine life to enjoy across the whole bay now you can see again 🙂

Yep, add that to the list of beautiful swims 🙂

The Bolderdash 5 – Mark, Francois, Inez, Shaun &
Simon headed off @ 5.56am sans sun, strong rip out from Nth Steyne,
large swell for underwater photos at Elephant rock, Queensie, but a
relatively smooth swim point to point.  Photos and report from Simon

3 swimmers continued on after the regular swim for a double lap of Shelly and 4 stretched out to Queenscliff.

Someone mentioned jimbles… not sure why !?  If you followed the reef along the shore line there were NONE 🙂

Melbourne Cup swim on Tuesday, come in your best outfit, fascinator or hat.

Meanwhile on tour… Libby Kulmar couldn’t see Notre Dame in Paris as there was an huge banner in the way.  As she got closer she could see what it read:

Wow are we popular or what ! Our great sponsor Access Communications is darn good at their job !

The Blog Tarts are not missing a trick in Noosa either, busy recruiting new swimmers and new names

Good luck to all our participants in the Noosa Triathlon today.  Stephen says you can download the free Subaru Tracker App and follow participants as they progress through the course.  At a guess this would be our blog tart team page ??

Congratulations to Inez on her first Bolderdash! Very nice effort, and with a torn-down pink hat 😉 I wish I had stayed on your side on the way back as well but I was really getting cold… Hopefully you made it sound and safe!
Thanks Simon for some awesome pictures again!

By the way Simon, you have a talent but you need to be more on the pictures from now on! Has anyone ever tried to take a camera when just swimming in his trunks?
And thanks to Bold & Beautiful for this first week of Bolderdash. It is so great to be able to meet with fellow swimmers in the morning. I am getting hooked! 😉

Not only did Inez make it back safe and sound, she even joined us for a double Shelly afterwards!! That’s 6km before brekkie… Go Inez!!! 🙂

    Waoh, I am speechless! 🙂
Next step would be Bolderdash and a triple, but has anyone ever done that? (I bet John B./Michael C. have). If the sun is out next week we’ll have to give it a try!

I’m not the first to do it and I won’t be the last. Gentlemen, merci beaucoup pour un beau début de la journée et vielen dank für einen schönen Anfang in den Tag. It’s always nice when you have company . The water (not air) needs to be warmer before I can do triple after Bolderdash, was freezing when I got out of the water. And Rainer, there was no way I was going to let you turn back before swimming ALL the way in to Shelly.

Sorry Inez, I assumed it was your first one since you asked how far towards the cliff we should swim 😉 My bad!

Inez, Congrats a really strong achievement and what a beautiful day to do so. You rock girl!!! It was great to see how chuffed you were afterwards, an inspiration to me to get going!

yes François it WAS my first Bolderdash. I meant I am not the first person to do it or the last person to ever do it. For keeping me company while getting cold, that is not a ‘bad’,

You know you are a much stronger swimmer than i am John, it is all your head, that is what will make you do it or not do it. I only swam my first double in September.

Shaun I was glad to see you at Shelly, as I lost sight of you just before the point. Next time I will make sure I swim near you for company.

I’m not doing it for the badge. I’m doing it because it’s there. And I love it. At the beginning of winter I was swimming for the badge, yes, but it has become more than that to me now. Oh dear, it sounds like a Hollywood soapie.
