04/09/2011 – Great To Be Back :-)

September 4, 20116

77 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

It’s wonderful to be back and lovely to see you all this morning. Although I’m sure there were more than 77 of us… please don’t forget to tick so we can keep our super cool attendance graph up to date, thank you.

It was a great swim this morning, ok ok so it was a little wavy, choppy and cool to first  touch, but once you got going it was warm, clear and damn right beautiful.

Welcome back to Gaetan Guilhon this morning too, he must have been jet lagged though as he forget to bring his swimmers and googles with him !!!

Anna Alvsdotter completed a rest of our Dardanelle crowd who are still obviously having a fabulous holiday. very good deed this morning, chasing away a fishing boat with 5 fishing rods from ‘our’ aquatic marine  reserve on the swim back. You should have seen them speed out of there after Anna spoke to them ! Great job Anna 🙂

Thanks to Stephen Coulter for this morning’s great photos.

A couple of new on tour photos below from the

Michael Appleby, Michelle Harris, Mahdi  Deaton, Vicki Harbutt and Debbie Hanson at Ephesus.

Debbie Hanson in front of the oldest ruin in Turkey.

Izzy Kirk with her Adonis at Troy.

Thank you very much to Tim and Linda for running the show and providing very entertaining blogs whilst we’ve been galavanting around England and Turkey.

Tim did such a great job on the blog whilst we were away, as a minimum we think he should continue with Tim’s fact of the day which he can provide me with each morning, don’t you reckon ??  😉

Happy Father’s Day to all our swimming Dads 🙂

Charlotte van Veenendaal (Ian Forster’s daughter-in-law) is racing third in the 4x100m relay in the world athletics championships at South Korea tonight, the first heat will be shown on SBS 2 at 7.30pm, hopefully they will qualify for the finals which will be on at 9.30pm. Good luck girls !!

Lovely to have some of the travelling swimmers back. Totally enjoyed the swim this morning. Stephens ‘rip’ diagram from a few weeks back came in very handy. Thanks again Stephen.

Enjoyed the swim this morning and the coffee afterwards – that Turkish coffee is quite strong. Nice to be back.

Good idea Jules, Tim please keep providing the fact of the day, we have all learnt a lot thanks to you 😉
Iain, I was stopped many times on the streets today and asked if I met “your friend”… not sure who the whole Manly is referring to, but it is defnitely not Richard 🙂
Finally, nice pics from Stephen and from Turkey!
