05/06/2013 – What can I say….?!

05/06/20139

It’s always worth getting down here for the great sunrises we are seeing lately! (Thanks to photographer Giles for helping me with this one!!)

And Emer’s happy face…

And do a bit of YMCA’ing

Good thing they are wearing wetsuits – they got to Shelly so fast wearing them they have to wait around for the rest of us to arrive! 🙂

Ahem, where’s your cap young man!

We sang Happy Birthday to Max!

His friend thought it was hilariously embarrassing for him! 😀

Ian was our let’s goer this morning – all in a German accent – I think Lips has started something?

Yes alright my fish photos are rubbish BUT he was so blue! As blue as my rashie!

Chris and Elaine…

Weird photo of the week – the blob was exactly over Chris’ face BUT if you look carefully it has a face in it! I think it’s Jesus!?

Another fabulous swim!!! A tad teeny bit cold…but very very refreshing!

Here’s a sunrise photo from Ian Forster

psssst! there’s a rumour of a BnB Ball at the end of July….we’ll keep you posted!

Last nights special dinner at BlueWater was a great success! Packed to capacity! Dr Ray delivering a moving talk that held everyone’s attention so much so we did a quick whip around at the end and raised $1000 in about 2 minutes (which will go towards his work in Nepal). And my guess is he also now has a lot of volunteers for his next trip over there!

Well done Elaine for getting us all together, BIG thanks to BlueWater who did their usual fab job and delicious food and another big thanks to our MC Ian Forster, who calmly keeps everything going! (Elaine will talk more about it in her blog tomorrow)

Did you know….The Royal Far West Children’s school are one of Bold and Beautiful supporters? – they handle all our merchandise for us (so Ian, John and I don’t have to!) It’s pretty much a full-time job, ordering and so on! When they aren’t doing that they are helping 1000’s of children in Australia!

They placed the below Ad in the Manly Daily a week or so ago and I also offered to put it on the blog! They are welcoming ideas (and support) from Manly residents regarding their redevelopment! Someone has already suggested hot showers for us beach swimmers! 🙂  It could be a very exciting project for us to be involved in!  I would really appreciate if you read the Ad for more information! (you can click on the image to make it bigger).

Also a special mention for Ted de Jager – GET WELL SOON!!  Not sure if I can share the exact details but Ted is in hospital 🙁 and I know he will be missing BnB very much and we miss him, but we hope to see him swimming and better again very soon!

Brill blog as usual Bubbles. Wish I’d seen that groper!
Thank you so much everyone for coming last night. I really hope some of you do go to nepal to help. Jules Isbill is definitely going next year some time so it could be a reunion! Thank you to Dr Ray, what an amazing guy, Ian F and Chris Olsen for letting us use his screen and projector xx

Ahh, the extra beach running is certainly shedding the kilos!!! Its like looking in a carnival skinny mirror.
Great underwater image as always Les.B. Looks like some YakFat may have got on the lens.
Elaine (and others) thanks for last night.
    Ted get well quick. xx

Forgot to mention this morning, but last night’s collection included one Irish cent (yes I said one)! The owner can collect it from me as I thought it must have been donated by accident. I know you can buy a decent bicycle for a cent in Ireland, but it won’t go far in Nepal. Any Irishmen out there?

Message from Mark at the OzMus to our marvellous photographers:
“I’m on the hunt for some footage of a redfish (nannygai) or school of this species.
As usual, I would like to embed it on the website or add it to YouTube.
    Thank you, Mark”
I’ve checked with Mark and he means video. Here is the fish on the OzMus website:

Good blog, Lesbubbles (and other bloggers). Always happy to be reminded of what a great spot Manly is and what a great bunch of people we are :-))
Ted, hope everything goes smoothly and that you’re back in the water soon.
