Great conditions for today’s swim! The sky was brighter, water warm, no Blueys and visibility not too bad. It’s always a beautiful swim when an Eagle Ray flies beneath you too!
Happy Birthday to lovely swimmer Daphne pictured here with Jo yesterday in duller weather. Sorry i missed you for a photo today Daphne!
The Wows head out for a 7.30am swim as I come back from mine.
Always lovely bumping in to Kit and her daughter 🙂
Annie, Roz and me. Lucky Roz saw Billie the Turtle swimming today over by the shed. I had a good look for him earlier but not so lucky…Maybe tomorrow…
Kelly and Hayley head out. Kelly volunteers for an organisation that match blind people with runners for a run on Sunday mornings in the Botanical Gardens. Good on you Kerry!
Michele swims a bit later today.
Sooze and Wednesday blogger Lucy. Lucy is happy to be back swimming with us after being shut out of Nthn Beaches!
Bruce coming in and looking very fit!
Martin and Leisa. Dr Michele slept in today but swam later at Chinamans Beach. I know because I was with her and another 8 ladies who go walking ‘Overseas’ on Mondays!
A huge school of Yellowtail near the shed
This Numbray has been spotted by a few swimmers lately. Don’t step on one though like Barb did recently
A Blind Shark foraging around the rocks at The Point. Yes that’s what they’re really called!
The green thing is a Moray Eel and the Groper was harassing it with the Crimson Banded Wrasse getting in on the action too! This was just out from the Surf Club. The marine life just around the rocks and sea grass by The Point is amazing with so many Gropers, Morwong, Wrasse and Luderick!
Goatfish and Silver Sweep.
The Dennet family taken at Shelly yesterday. Robyn and John were so happy to have their sons swimming with them 🙂
Janet (on her birthday), Michele, Roz and Carol
Lee, Michele and Marije (a shot from last week)
An octopus hiding in his garden at Manly Cove! If you haven’t already watch ‘My Octopus Teacher’ on Netflix. So good!
That’s all for today folks. We’re short of a fortnightly monday blogger if you can help out would be much appreciated!
love Lainey

Perfect blog as always. Loved seeing your blind shark and yes I also loved “My Octopus Teacher”. Thanks so much for doing this week’s Monday blog and for the general request to blog readings for another blogger. Unfortunately Andrew (Magic Hands) has moved away after blogging every alternate Monday for quite a few years. Big thanks to Andrew more
next Monday. Consequently we are looking out for a volunteer to blog two Mondays each month. If you or one of your friends would like to join the blogging team please contact any of the bloggers or contact Simon:
