What a day! Can you think of a better way to chase away the remnants of sleep than with this view and the anticipation of the daily ritual of the swim to Shelly?
Thanks to Julia Baird’s investigative prowess, and self confessed obsession with jellyfish, I now know that those big floating jellyfish we have encountered over the past few days are called Pink Meanies!
These cannibals of the sea do not deter the Pink Lovelies. Once again the B&B were out in force today with 161 fun loving swimmers frolicking in the balmy 20.7 degree surf.
All looking terribly debonair in pink caps while some added matching rashies for a total fashion statement.
There were an incredible 11 new swimmers today!! So the sign-up ritual utilises all the management expertise.
The rolling waves provided the opportunity to have a bit of fun.
Shelly is not a bad place to hang out as we wait for all the swimmers to arrive.
Water is murky, so not a whole lot of marine life to capture.
Except for the Pink Meanies!! Sandy seemed to find lots of them on the return swim.
Have a great day, and see you tonight in your most silly of hats!
Mary

If anyone found any re-usable adult diapers left at the club this morning, please hand them in to Mark.
They don’t belong to me but to a good friend.
Mary great blog full of images and words!

Thanks for the blog Mary – just reading it in my lunch hour!
Great photos of everybody – i like the avenue of pines one.
You’ve captured the essence and fun of why I swim and why it’s such a good group.
See you tonight for silliness!

Love that pic of Paige and Best Friend especially:-)) Also look f/w to your evening blog. Have fun everyone!
Sorry to miss you on the swim, Mary, but one more lovely Boldercrawl…. with the other 6.59ers – (now ‘regulars’ !!) – and also Bernard and Bryony (her first ever bolderdash, yay!!). Amazingly, we all stayed together for the entire trip. Thanks all!
Saw the Super Speedy Bolderdashers pass us in a flash on their return – Inez has now had a big promotion and manages to stay with Sabine & co. Incredible! Of course, they miss out on our tea-breaks, chat-breaks and sight-seeing tours:-)

Haha! You have such a way with words Jeff.
How on earth is it possible the BnB talent scouts haven’t recruited you as a regular blogger yet!?
Let me talk you into it over a few jelly shots tonight..

wish that were really true, LSA, but actually they just tolerated me trailing 100m behind them. I think we need a Tweenies Group for misfits like me.Lovely big Mary, lots of smiling faces in those photos.

I really wouldn’t call Mary ‘big’ Inez. Remember, she can retaliate at will, being a blogger and all.

Great idea – you’ve talked yourself into a job, JeffwithaJ!
And Rusty has also managed to pass the stringent application process, thx to all his revealing Blogtart shots.
Snorkles won’t have to worry about Stephen gallavanting round the world when he’s meant to be co-blogging now!
