Thanks Lesley. Great swim.. feels like summer these days. Saying that from the comfort of my long wetsuit of course.
Elaine – not that i dont like the idea of girls in oil, but is there any evidence that canola is really superior to e.g. virgin olive?
See you all tomorrow!!

I might try olive tomorrow Rainer or even sesame. Thanks for the tip. (Virgin olive probably wouldn’t work 😉
Thanks for getting me well up the spreddy sheet for blog appearances Lesley but I think it should be ‘Where’s Sharon’ tomorrow. Sharon, a cold is no excuse. I always swim at the first sign of a cold, makes them go quicker.(And Brenton!)
Thanks for the neck massage Brian at breakfast. Free massages now, the list of B&B benefits just gets longer!
I heard the police were after John Bond for refusing to leave The Boatshed the other night but anyone got any other ideas??
See you all tomorrow!

Hi everyone, a group of us are planning a swim around North Head on Sunday with boat support and wanted to know if anyone else is interested in taking part. Because the water’s still not warmed up much it’s not going to be practical to wait for all to catch up as we do in the summer badge swims, so the idea would be to swim in a group of the same speed and have separate boats. So if you’re up for the swim, want to offer boat support, or join on a kayak, then get in touch.

You are right Lesley! I’ve only got a cold since I donned the wetsuit! No wetsuit tomorrow. Just copying and pasting that research here:
For your body, a sudden and drastic change in temperature constitutes an attack – as anyone who’s ever fallen overboard in British waters will concur. And, whilst “attacking” your own body may not sound like a good thing, there is no harm in keeping it on its toes. In fact, quite the opposite.
Scientists from the Czech Republic immersed witting subjects in cold water for one hour, three times a week and monitored their physiology. They found significant increases in white blood cell counts and several other factors relating to the immune system. This was attributed to the cold water being a mild stressor which activates the immune system and gives it some practice.
Izzy, just googled truffle oil and apparently it’s a scam and contains no traces of truffle but is just plain, old olive oil!
