77 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Another wet and grey ole day when you might as well swim ‘cos you’re going to get wet whether you like it or not.

Plus it is lovely swimming in the rain, it kinda has a beautiful mystical feeling to it.

Not so good for photographs though… can I blame the rain for today’s creative blur ?

6 swimmers continued on for a double lap while Fifi had a more challenging project on her hands 😉

It really does ‘all happen’ at 7 o’clock in the morning at B&B… right down to the latest fashions… 😉
If you haven’t checked out our 2012 Winter Challenge spreadsheet it’s well worth a look, designed specifically for us by one of our swimmers, Magnus Butlin. It shows us day by day how each of you are tracking for your 2012 ‘Cold & Beautiful’ Badge, and the fact that 212 individuals have already swum at least once in the first 3 days of winter – AMAZING !!
How many people will qualify for their winter badge this year do you reckon ?? Loads 🙂 You only need to swim a minimum of 20 times over a minimum of 7 different weeks of winter, and of course there is no maximum 🙂 Remember too, if you do it without a wetsuit you will also qualify for the prestigious ‘Winter Without Wetsuit’ badge 😉
Please remember to tick though or we won’t know you’ve swum…
You can check out the spreadsheet via the Winter Badge 2012 link in the daily attendance by clicking on the graph to the left of the blog any time.
Well done to all the guys who participated in the Palmy to Manly swim yesterday. Whilst unfortunately conditions weren’t on their side for many of them this time, they all had a fantastic swim making it a decent way down the coast and were accompanied by whales !!!
Check out Krystyna Weston’s fantastic B&B on tour photo below, taken at the Great Wall of China !!

I just LOVE swimming with B and B rain, hail or shine, sharks large and small, and even with a bad case of sea-matting. Jules I am proud of your editing skills xxxx…but what did you do to Borat at the bottom there? Wow.

Hello All,
Thanks for everyone’s support on the swim yesterday. All I can say is this: We have some of the greatest swim places in the world in our own backyard. Between Avalon and Long Reef it is absolutely stunning with the bottom just visible most of the way. Looking forward to tending to the unfinished business when conditions are right and having a few adventure swims across parts or all of the course with you all.

Someone left a plastic bag in the ladies changing room this morning. It had a pretty distinctive yellow hot water bottle and red wetsuit. I handed it in to the surf club, and a helpful lady put it out the back, (behind the drink bottle, she said) as the office was closed. If it’s yours, then give someone at the club a shout! Lindsay.
