02/05/16 – We Need a Montage

A quick fill-in blog today, not my usual.  Like many things in the BnB this one’s a team effort, a montage of sorts or perhaps more a mash-up, with photos of the morning from a few different sources.  A typical late Autumn swim, possibly the best time of year for swimming – so get into it.

Porcupine fish, the rock ledge along cabbage tree bay where the grass is green and girls are pretty, and breaky with CanToo founder Annie Crawford. Thanks to Elaine and Fi for some of the photos…  Enjoy!

Congrats to the members of our BnB squad who entered yesterday’s 2km Curl Curl to Freshwater race. A grey day but good conditions in the water for swimming…

Staying safe – a timely reminder!

Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.  Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company. Monthly Dinner – Guest Speaker!

The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 10^th May at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker for the night will be one of our own swimmers, Fiona Reid, who is a family law expert, and has appeared regularly on the Sunrise program on Channel 7. Fiona’s light-hearted talk is titled “Divorce: the new black” and will explore some of the reasons why divorce rates continue to escalate.

The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each.
