99 Bold and Beautiful swimmers turned up on this beautiful Thursday morning. The storm at around 4am may have deterred a few of you but by 6.30am the sun was squeezing through the amazing cloud formations. The water was warm, calm, smooth and very clear in patches. Loads of fish! Another sensational swim and so good for us!
The 6.30am early lappers are out there, swimming with that gorgeous sunrise. you can see their ripples…
And always lovely to bump in to Retha, out for a run!
As swimmers start to arrive there is talk of the new plans for the development of the Surf Club.We get a sneaky preview. It could transform from this…
To this…;-)
4 Newbies today including lovely Hope. We hope you enjoyed your swim and will come back soon!
We all tick ourselves off as the sun brightens up our swim path…Hello Elaine!
Lovely Andrew (Amber Tiles) Drinkwater, models his new B&B hoodie. Really cosy on these cooler mornings.
Anne E comes back from her early swim exaggerating about the size of the marine creatures. (You are talking about the gropers aren’t you Anne 😉
And in to the sunrise we stroll…
Mark walks hand in hand with his 7 year old daughter, Lara. How cute!
Come on Rob and Jenny, it’s not that cold!
Our bloggers Mary and Simon get excited as we see that visibility around The Point is great! (Above and below the water.)
Swimming close to the rocks I see a lot of blue gropers, mados, yellowtail and this lovely crimson morwong having a feed.
As usual I get left behind taking photos of fish and have to get out at Fairy Bower and run around to Shelly Beach. There doesn’t look 99 swimmers waiting at Shelly. Hope there’s been no illegal ticking going on 😉
Loads of fun with blog tarts at Shelly!
This is our yesterday’s birthday girl Little Sarah with her swimming buddies, ‘Baby Jane’ and ‘Young Jane’!
Swimming back, a Port Jackson shark was lying on the sea bed and a few metres further on a huge school of my favourite fish, old wives were just hanging around. They were quite deep down but I’m getting used to this diving now.
Our lovely mother and daughter duo, Krystina and Kara…
How lucky are we to swim in this beautiful Aquatic Reserve with such marine life…
And under such breathtaking skies… With such a great bunch of people xx
It’s doing us the world of good. Look how healthy the regular swimmers are…Must be the vitamin SEA!

Hehe…I love the look of the new Pink Club house. I’m just hoping they install Pink fluffy robes and bathmats for us!!
I swam early and ticked so you didn’t see me at Shelly. Am I legal?

…. we’ve also requested lots of Hot Pink showers! Note the influence of the Triad Queen and 60s party-goers!
Thx for your assistance with the plans, “Integrity Police”:-)) Good team work for a change.

Love the dose of daily vitamin…SEA!! Well done with the fish pics, Lainey!
Drinky, what a shame you haven’t won any badges yet – maybe when you learn to swim a little faster, you can keep me company…..:)

Lovely fish pics Lainey-Loo. I’m going to miss y’all (fishes and people) a lot – off to Hobart for 10 days to cuddle grand-babies.
And I love the new clubhouse – are they paying you for your design?

I’m not responsible for redesigning the club house! That’s the work of a landscape architect who swims with us 🙂

This comment was put on yesterday’s blog in the evening so I thought I would re-post it:
Did anyone pick up a ladies wetsuit left hanging on the timber handrail Wednesday morning ? ? ? ? ?

I love the new club house design, too. Really smartens the place up. And Elaine, I loved those old wives, they are really beautiful. Does anyone know what old husbands look like?

Great blog. Surprisingly good swim, despite the cold winds earlier in the morning
Snorkels, please take note of my spreddy point for photo bombing the lovely group shot with Baby Jane, Young Jane, and LSA. I’m quite proud of my work there..
Lesbutt was somewhat miffed that no one complimented on her blog yesterday. I would encourage everyone to take another look and leave a positive rating. She deserves it.

I agree, unfortunately, I worked late last night and missed yesterdays blog.
As usual Lesley has proven herself as the QUEEN (Wednesday) BLOGGER.
Fashionable, as tasteful as always and heaped with high season wit and comedy!
A modern day Gilbert & Sullivan, HMS Pinafore!
And not to take anything away from E-Laine,
E-Laine has proven herself as the QUEEN (Thursday) BLOGGER.
Tasteful, as fashionable as always and heaped with high season comedy and wit!
A modern day Gilbert & Sullivan, The Mikado!

It’s all good Lips ….Triad Baby Whisperer took centre stage yesterday – I just couldn’t / wouldn’t compete! :-DD
Little Sarah aka LSA aka HKTQ aka BW.....

Oh Lesbutt, without your blog and all the B&B, there would have been no centre stage! You did an excellent job in competing and especially in capturing all the fun of the day. I think it was poor Lips who missed out, but he’ll have his cake and eat it on Saturday:)

Design credit for the pink-cap-and-shades image must go to Neil of Peek-a-boo Party Cakes (www.peekaboopartycakes.com).
Neil did a great job of taking the concept I gave him and running with it (and improving on it).
I think the club should consider getting his input!

I was asked to contribute to the overseeing of the new club building work
So i consulted a very clever architect
The 1st draft design –
some finer points of design are as follows –
External stairs for pink cap access to top balcony,
Pink Cathedral dome to make it easier for newbies to find us.
Signage to give credit to Rob the pilot for his contribution to design.
Unseen internal new change room with racks for overnight storage of pink caps.
Real life Photo of pink cap mascot – Sarah Procter Abbott to replace clock face.
Compulsory wearing of pink caps for randoms who walk past,
Sarah abbot glasses fold down to give extra cover for bags on top deck.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to enlarge the ladies change room at all but the men’s change room has a full new refurbishment!!
Well done Storchy, I love your work
