Todays word – “Indefatigable”:
Definition: incapable of being fatigued, having or showing a capacity for persistent effort; not tiring or relenting.
If you are a B&B swimmer this applies to you, especially if you swam today as we had:
medium high tide, a nice ride on the rip out to the point (provided you timed your entry between the large sets), some bumpy bits past the point off Shelly, a “let’s go” from Sophie (who gave herself a 10 m head start), some surprisingly smooth sections on the return journey (once you passed the Tardis), then the luck of getting the correct timing between the large sets as you came into the beach.
Relative newbie Warren (sans wetsuit) helped me keep-up the pace to catch a wave with Sophie & Sterling onto the beach. Alas the Bishop and the Spaniard had a blinder and were already changing as we came up the ramp.
Manly Wine started off as a boys club until Lyndall, Elizabeth and Elaine joined us. I also noticed a small group at the benches taking advantage of the warmer sunny weather.
If you missed today’s swim you can always come tomorrow as the B&B is indefatigable.
Have a great week
Ps the iPhone blog only allows 5 pictures to capture some sense of today’s swim.

Special Event – Guest Speaker!
The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 9th September at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. On the night we have Miles Tollan, giving a special presentation about his recent solo crossing of the English Channel. Miles will tell us about his motivation for taking on this challenge, the training he went through and the preparations for the swim itself. This is your chance to hear it first hand and ask the questions you’ve been dying to ask, including all about his miraculous 13 kg weight-gain program!
The cost of the dinner is only $20 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Yeah, pity it has the photo-bombing tart muscling in (sans muscles) in the background from Havanas or is that banana-bread, not tart at all !
Have a great day everyone !

Thanks for the blog Simon, I reckon ‘Indefatigable’ means an incapable of being pronounced word that has a much simpler alternative (like hardy)…
