It’s Little Sarah’s birthday and, as every year, Manly is falling over itself to pay its respects to our very own Hong Kong Triad Queen.
If you were up early this morning you might have heard some thunder from the 6am fireworks..
If you missed the fireworks, don’t worry. You can still catch the 3pm parade on the Corso. Here’s a photo from last year:
Swimmers started gathering early, competing for the best spots to get a glimpse of Sarah. By 6:50am it was chock-a-block at the surf club:
And the fans didn’t have to wait long:

Monthly Dinner – Guest Speaker!
The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 10th May at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker for the night will be one of our own swimmers, Fiona Reid, who is a family law expert, and has appeared regularly on the Sunrise program on Channel 7. Fiona’s light-hearted talk is titled “Divorce: the new black” and will explore some of the reasons why divorce rates continue to escalate.
The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. About 8 of us turned up yesterday for the swimming class advertised for Saturday April 30th but it didn’t happen. Is there a way to sign up in future so we can be notified if it’s cancelled?

Hilarious blog again Rainer and a great tribute to LSA. I stayed at Nat’s apartment I’ll have you know and was back by 9.30pm! If anyone is going to a Wild West Fancy Dress party and wants to borrow my jacket they are welcome!
