20/10/2012 – Love Pink !

20/10/201224

Over 161 Bold & Beautiful swimmers !

Absolutely Fabulous 🙂

Just the most beautiful morning with the most beautiful people.

There’s just nothing we won’t do for each other 😉

Great to see Rosemary back, looking fresh and bright after what must have been 2 months swimming around Europe.

The tiniest little wave to help you get in that little bit faster

and things are really heating up around here, lots of wetsuits are starting to come off 🙂

Which is understandable, it’s just magic out in the bay now.  The water’s clearing and the sun is steaming.  I might even have to leave my uggies at home from now on 😉

No stingers, just pure pleasure and enjoyment amongst a whole heap of friends 🙂

A couple of swimmers seemed to be a little excited about the fact they had dropped their flippers and wetsuits… not sure who they were though as they were really quite discrete about the whole thing.

Gosh I love pink 🙂

Cathy and Arthur stopping mid swim just to take it all in.  We really are so lucky !

Extra lucky are we too… as Cathy has made this beautiful handmade pearl bracelet which could be yours if you bid for it at our Silent Auction this coming Tuesday at our Trivia Night !!!  To check out more of Cathy’s exquisite jewellery click here – Pearls de Tahiti enter B&B at the check out online and you’ll get a 15% discount too !  Check it out, you might just find that perfect Christmas present for that special person 🙂

An amazing 20 swimmers continued on for a double lap after the 7am swim,
including Emer for her first.  6 of those swimmers also tripled !!

Margrethe is super proud and excited to have completed her first ever swim with us, both ways too 🙂  This one’s for you Ragnill !  We miss you xx

Welcome back to David, who’s been living it up surfing in Sumatra.  A promised on tour photo is en-route 😉

and welcome back to one of our interstate swimmers, Gary who is happy to be down visiting us from Maroochydore 🙂

and happy to be back in the water for her first post-marathon swim is super speedy Sarah 🙂

There’s so much action and so many choices, love it !  3 swimmers set off early for a lap up to Queensie at 6am and another 6 enjoyed an early 6.20 lap of Shelly 🙂  What will tomorrow bring ??  Don’t just read about it, come down and be part of it !! 🙂

Big Surprise! Lesley can swim without fins! Not only that, she still can not swim slow enough to keep me company;-( Thank goodness Rob came to the rescue:-)
Rainer, where are you? You should be well-rested for our double tomorrow. I’ll definitely be back in my wet-suit…..brrrr…… Mary, Elaine, anyone else, do join us!

Thats me at full pace Sarah!!! Was probably the nicest swim I have done so far, calm and visibility was great. Unfortunately visibility was also good at Shelley and we had to advert our eyes from the eyesore that is Iain’s wetsuitless body…MY EYES!! MY EYES!!

What beautiful conditions today with the water much clearer. A good turnout for the double and also the triple.
Well done Emer on completing your first double,a great day for it.

Well done LSA..! You were brave …no wetsuit no fins, no artic head gear! I can swim without fins but it’s hard going and not that pleasurable! But on the plus side leaving early was good…very peaceful, no bodies smacking into me! Also I got to see who top swimmers are… Brad E and 007 were first in to shelly! I would like to see them get there that fast WITHOUT their wetsuits tho!! :-D.
    Great conditions!!

Fabulous conditions, a truly wonderful swim.
Can’t wait for tomorrow, a little birdy told me that a ‘very special person’ will join us @ 7am.
I love the COUNTDOWN to Trivia. Now, what to wear.

I will join you tomorrow LSD (sorry LSA) and you will realize how super slow I am without flippers or wetsuit! I had a feeling Lesley would be speedy even with naked feet…I know I won’t enjoy it so much but no pain no gain I suppose. Robbie couldn’t swim a few months ago and look at him now. Have to push ourselves out of that comfort zone!
Well done Rosemary, back from Amsterdam where she swam 2 kms in the canals. (Ted got thrown in a canal there on his Bucks Night and has never been the same since!)
Looking forward to Trivia Night. If anyone is worried about outfits I’ll have a selection of wigs and strange clothes to lend out in my car boot tomorrow!

Little Sarah, was resting for my virgin double tomorrow! Plus, i had patrol duty this morning. But managed to squeeze in a quick dash to the marker and back. Wetsuitless!!!
Wetsuit definitely back on for tomorrow’s super-slow double though. Elaine still interested in going all the way with us? 🙂
Very impressed by all the finless, wetsuitless double action these days! Well done Lesley, Rob, Emer!! (dont neglect the blog tarting though!)
